Pipes and Drains

Came across this again, forgot how much I like it. Design on Time prototype, by Ted Howes and Adam Vollmer at IDEO  http://designthinking.ideo.com/?p=175/#content The prototype gave out samples of ‘time tickets’ to people on the subway and recorded their reactions -what do you do with your time when you realise you have extra to use?  It seems that today we spend an awful lot of our time stressing about not having enough of it -don’t know about anyone else but I spend so much of my time planning what to do with it – or what I would like to be doing with it that very little actually gets done! But then I still can’t put my finger on what ‘wasted time’ versus ‘productive time’ actually is?  Also reminds me of the book ‘Slow’ http://www.carlhonore.com/?page=1 -looking at how we use our time and encouraging us to take it slower.
