We (actually Ken and Philip, who pointed it out to me) noticed this in town the other day. Somebody clearly forgot to check over the manican’s jeans before it was set out! However, not all mistakes are bad…it seems much more realistic. I like it. -New Look, Buchanan Street, April 2010.

Some awesome images by Ausra Osipaviciute, Lithuania : Using embroidery and thread in fashion photography. Such an effective and different idea. -I so often forget that ‘somebody’ takes and creates these images, and the handmade touch puts that right back in. Would work really well for individual fashion boutiques in their advertising…you could even have holes in say, postcards, that users could ‘sew in’ themselves…

New IBM colour sensitive posters : change according to the colours people walking past are wearing. If im beng totally honest I don’t totally understand what their campaign is about or trying to promote, but the poster would get me to interact with the brand.  New subway mapping from Triboro NYC. Eyecatching -but I don’t know how easy they would be to read. I guess I love them because they are very ‘graphic’ communication (if that makes sense), but I don;t know if they are almost too stylised to do the job of getting people to understand how to get around…
